Here is a round-up of what has been happening in Willenhall South, New Invention, and Short Heath
ARRESTS
1 x female arrested for recall to prison and 6 accounts of shop theft 1 x male arrested for possession of an offensive weapon(Rambo style knife) and intent to supply drugs, his home was also searched and more drugs and 1 more weapon was seized 1 x male arrested for possession of an offensive weapon (ninja sword) and quantity of cannabis 1 x male arrested in Willenhall Memorial Park with a quantity of cannabis
ASB PATROLS
We have been patrolling in Gough Street and will be conducting a meeting with WHG and Walsall Council to discuss the ASB issues. We have continued to patrol in Willenhall Town Centre and are working with Walsall Council to obtain a PSPO (Public Space Protection Order) to tackle the drinkers in the town. Walsall Council have removed 2 benches that were mainly used by the drinkers as they are installing permanent market stalls.
VEHICLES
1 x vehicle recovered which was stolen 4 years ago in London. Thank you to the member of public for reporting the damage to the vehicle which was bearing the wrong registration plate. 1 x stolen vehicle seized
COMMUNITY EVENTS
Street Watch has been conducted in Willenhall Memorial park and Scholars Heath Estate. We have conducted a Police Surgery at the library, Walsall Road and The Hive, New Invention Square. We have visited some of our children homes and spoken with staff and the young people who reside at the homes. We attended LockStock Music Festival at Willenhall Memorial Park on 06/09/26, great turnout by the community and a lovely day to watch live bands. We attended Coffee and Chat at Winehala Court and spoke to the local residents about crime/asb in the local area.
